My name is Eli Coustan. I am a freshman at Duke University studying computer science and public policy. I currently work as a research assistant at Duke's Sanford School of Public Policy; most recently, I helped conduct a synthesis of previous research on the digital divide.

Last summer, I was an IT Program Assistant at the Ravinia Festival. As an IT Program Assistant, I provided helpdesk support to users and upgraded/replaced desktops as part of our Windows 11 transition project. I also developed scripts to automate computer setup/provisioning and common administrative tasks (e.g. printer installation, software uninstallation).
During the summer of 2024, I participated in the UChicago Data Science Institute Summer Lab program. As part of the program, I conducted research in the UChicago Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) lab under the mentorship of Professor Sarah Sebo and Lauren Wright.
From June to August of 2023, I worked at New Trier Township High School as a Summer User Support Specialist. I worked on (re)imaging Windows PCs and laptops, troubleshooting computers and classroom A/V equipment, and inventorying technology (wireless access points, A/V equipment, monitors, PCs, etc.).
